The House
Paço de Lanheses is a wonderful imposing stately home located in a quiet private farm. This manor house is inserted in an idyllic landscape on the banks of the Lima River, within a floodplain whose immense fertility is reflected in the surrounding green and flowery fields.
Further north, one may enjoy a striking mountain scenery.
It is ideally situated for the visitor to discover the area´s main tourist attractions, such as the medieval town of Ponte de Lima or the inviting and luminous beaches of Viana do Castelo along the Atlantic coastline and less than 20 minutes away.
Built in the golden age of the Portuguese Discoveries, Paço de Lanheses was classified as a Public Interest Monument for its architectural beauty, its historical value and its excellent sate of conservation and it is considered a cultural asset of national importance.
The family adapted this ancient building to the needs and comfort of the modern visitor without compromising the integrity of this ancient building.
